Shaving mug | Cheap Shaving mugs

Being a fan of the Shaving mug, over the past few months I’ve been searching online for a cheap shaving mug and found there to be a few resources, if you can find any more resources than me than please do feel to send me an email. However there are definitely a few things I would like to state about shaving mugs. A Shaving mug from the 18th century is made by potters and they all seem to resemble in many reoccurring facts. Shaving mugs were definitely more of a middle class feature; however some lower income homes did possess a shaving mug. The Shaving Mug was generally used to hold the shaving brush which would be used for men would shave. The rim or lid of the shaving mug was usually quite wide allowing the shaving brush to comfortably fit within the shaving mug without having any difficulty getting it in, or pulling it out. Shaving mugs are much rarer than they used to be, they are even more of a middle-class feature among our civilisation now than before. Because of this a Cheap Shaving Mug is not that hard to get hold of; they are definitely someone around if you search well. The reason that is pretty rare (or less common) to find cheap shaving mug is that most of the shaving mugs today are aimed at a middle-class demographic, meaning the prices they charge are within the league of what middle-class shoppers can buy. However I’ve seen a shaving mug for very cheap prices in some places; that have looks absolutely great. I’ve also seen a very expensive shaving mug, but for some reason these often have not looked as good as the cheaper ones, why is this? do the higher brands have less taste. A Cheaper shaving mug seems to have more of a classic look, like an original shaving mug. I’ve saw one beautiful shaving mug that was antique; these ones date back to as far as 1867 when the patent for the first shaving mugs were held. The built in brush sets that are available with the shaving mug are gorgeous, I’ve seen one cheap shaving mug with brush sets that was amazing, with all small details on the inside of the mug. To be honest, if you have a shaving mug or know someone who has one most definitely do some research as shaving mugs today are a lot more rare, some antique shaving mug pots have signed bottoms, so do be sure to check that you don’t have a rare r exclusive one dating back a few centuries. Why you ask? Because, this could mean big bucks. Some of them your talk four figures easily.

How to look after your shaving mug: Do take care when taking your shaving mug out of its packaging if you’re buying it or take care handling it if you have one at home. If your Cheap Shaving mug does not have a box with cushioning or with softness on the inside of it be sure to find one, or you could be left with a scratched ill looking cheap shaving mug. Should you be careful and look after your cheap shaving mug with ultimate care, then you shouldn’t have a problem in this area. Do make sure you keep your shaving mug in a cool places, this doesn’t usually seem to be a problem because most and my shaving mug is keep in my bathroom. Do try to keep your Cheap shaving mug away from the light as sometimes (especially with antique shaving mugs) they can seem to fade with the sun; the materials used in 1867 aren’t as great as the materials used now, so they will fade. The older the Shaving mug usually means the less resistant it will be to pressure so be careful not to hold it with too much force or even put it somewhere in a tight space as if the pressure is too much for the cheap shaving mug it will most definitely shatter. Please ensure you take ultra care in keeping your shaving mug away from high shelves where they may fall. If this is the only option for your shaving mug then keep it away from any other objects that may knock it off or cause it to move. Definitely keep your cheap shaving mug away from small children as the materials it is made from can often be very sharp and piercing should you have small children that step on the debris from a broken shaving mug. Definitely wash your shaving mug thoroughly to keep its gleaming shine, but make sure to wash it with luke warm water. Often an older shaving mug will be thin and the pressure from hot water can often break them. Although the shaving mug is meant to be able to take hot water, many of the older wants wont, and you may be risking it shattering from too much pressure. I wouldn’t advice risking this as many of the older shaving mugs are rare to come across and are worth a lot of money, however the choice is yours. Also try to dry it with a towel rather than leaving it to dry as this can often lead them to become less stable, this can weaken the molecules within them. In conclusion you can get these beautiful pieces in all shapes and sizes by searching around for them, I have know to see many of the best ones online. If you search long and hard for them you will be able to find the best ones that no-one else will be able to get. I hope you find the perfect one for you. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that make sure the place you buy it from states that it comes with a brush set, because you will be definitely needing a brush set unless you have a set and are just after the mug itself, happy findings people, let the love live on!
